Foundational Analytics

Multi-dimensional Cubes

Designed, implemented, and managed the enterprise, multi-dimensional cube architecture using SQL Server Analysis Services. The cubes are used to aggregate enrolled and completed credits, total enrollments, grade distributions, and other key performance indicators across multiple dimensional attributes, including IPEDS ethnicity, gender, and business units. Project Management

ERP Data Migration

Developed and managed migration project for the Ellucian, Colleague ERP platform from UNIDATA to Microsoft SQL Server.  Delivered the project on time and under budget.  The multi-year project included internalizing PMP methodologies, coordinating with external vendors, and creating technical skillset maps for staff that supported the new platforms.   Impacted enterprise systems included:

  • Colleague ERP platform including desktop and web interfaces
  • SharePoint Portal including SSRS
  • ImageNow
  • Canvas

Process Improvements

Developed contract processing and course management application, including a SQL Server database management system that improved contract processing, financial reporting, and automated governance and compliance requirements. The design process used rapid application development methodologies to integrate functional requirements progressively. The application integrated business and financial operations into the ERP system, which improved governmental compliance, and performance metric reporting. Process improvements increased recorded performance metrics, including revenue, net income, and profit margin by 20%, 155%, and 113%, respectively.  Click to request more information.
